Bay Area Bird Photographers (BABP) is a club founded by members of SCVAS. Programs are open to the public and feature an engaging presentation by a member or guest showcasing bird photography from around the world and close to home.

BABP is supported by SCVAS and sponsored by the Recreation-Open Space and Science Division of the City of Palo Alto. BABP does not require dues, but we ask that you become a supporting member of SCVAS.

Getting More Original Wildlife Photos by Parham Pourahmad — 3 February 2025. Parham Pourahmad is a young, enthusiastic and award winning Bay Area Photographer. During this BABP meeting, Parham speaks about how to get more original, 'newer' photos. This includes small-in-frame photography, using different types of lighting, and capturing interesting behaviors. He also discusses his photos and the factors that make them keepers.
