PUBLIC 4 HOUR TRADITIONAL
Welcome to the Santa Clara Valley Young Birders Club Birdathon Team! If you're looking for a fun and inclusive event packed with lots of birding and the opportunity to contribute to bird conservation, this team is for you!
We'll be traveling through the Palo Alto Baylands to document a variety of bird species, keeping a special lookout for the elusive and endangered snowy plover. We will identify birds by sight and sound, with a goal of beating our previous record with 70 species!
This birdathon will help raise awareness about the issues birds face, and our observational data will support citizen science efforts. Whether you're an experienced youth birder or just want to try out for the first time, all are welcome.
As always, snacks will be provided! Hope to see you there!
