Birdathon: Song Birds

  • Rancho Canada del Oro (map)

Wilson’s Warbler: Caroline Lambert

PUBLIC 4 HOUR TRADITIONAL

Join us for dawn chorus and capture the sounds at Rancho Canada Del Oro OSP in Morgan Hill. It's early, but it's worth it! You don't need fancy recording gear of your own; an iPhone is fine. The main trail we'll be on is a paved accessible loop less than a mile long with little elevation gain. We may get to do a little drive by owling, as well. We'll stop for a hot breakfast and debrief after. Stay tuned for confirmation that we have received special access to bird here before park hours. If not, we'll start at 7:00 am.

Trip Difficulty: 1-2 miles, paved trails, gravel trails, packed dirt trails, little to no elevation gain, some hills (less than 300 ft elevation gain), some shade

Leader: Sue Pelmulder and Michael Hawk, 408-204-6411

Birding Intensity: Moderate

Meet Location: Will be sent out to participants by leaders

Facilities: cell coverage may be intermittent or non-existent
