American White Pelican by Blake Burke

Birding by Bike: Charleston Slough (Mountain View)

Birding by bicycle is a good way to cover more ground, and we'll do the full loop at Charleston Slough, through Byxbee Park and past the Emily Renzell Wetlands. Don't confuse it with exercise: we'll ride slowly and stop frequently. This is a good way to survey a large area for migrant shorebirds and water birds.
