Violet-green Swallow by Sarah Chan

Beginner Birding at Cuesta Park (Mountain View)

Join us on this easy course through Mountain View's Cuesta Park and Annex, where we will identify some of the birds that are often seen in our city parks and neighborhoods, including songbirds, hawks, woodpeckers, and hummingbirds. Some birds we'll be on the lookout for are Pygmy Nuthatches, Violet-green Swallows, Red-tailed Hawks, and Nuttall's Woodpeckers. This trip is geared towards beginning birders, but all are welcome.

Trip Difficulty: Approximately 1.5 miles, paved and packed-dirt trails, some travel over lawns (potentially wet), little or no elevation gain, some shade
