Field Trip: Bird Walk at Ulistac (Santa Clara)

This is a joint event with Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority.

Join Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority and Santa Clara Valley Bird Alliance as we explore Ulistac Natural Area in search for a variety of birds in late fall. Ulistac Natural Area is a small (40 acre) open space in Santa Clara and is the last area of undeveloped land along the Guadalupe River. Despite its small size, it offers a wide range of habitats to explore, including grassland areas and coastal scrub; riparian woodlands of cottonwood, willow and box elders; and mature valley oak trees and sycamores. We'll search for migrating warblers and wintering sparrows as well as year-round species such as Northern Flickers, California Thrashers, and California Scrubjays!
