Bewick's Wren by Vinayak Hebbagil

Field Trip: Birding at Ulistac Natural Area (Santa Clara)

Join us for a leisurely bird walk to look for songbirds, woodpeckers, raptors and wading birds. We'll be also looking out for migrating warblers, vireos, flycatchers and other songbirds! This urban open space with oak and riparian woodlands and seasonal wetlands contains the last 40 acres of natural, undeveloped land along the Guadalupe River in the city of Santa Clara. Park volunteers are continuing to remove invasive species and add California native plants making this place a rich urban sanctuary great for year-round birding.
