Field Trip: Birding Rancho Cañada del Oro (Morgan Hill)
This is a joint event with Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority..
Come join us to to a bird walk in Rancho Cañada del Oro! We'll walk along Llagas Creek Loop, Hidden Meadow trail, part of Mayfair Ranch trail, and maybe Longwall Canyon trail to look for oak woodland species such as Band-tailed Pigeons, California Quail, Acorn Woodpeckers, Wrentits, and more!
Trip Difficulty: 2 miles, packed-dirt trails, muddy or possibly muddy after rain, some hills (less than 300 ft elevation gain), some shade

Additional Languages: English will be the primary language of this field trip, but other languages spoken by our trip leaders include Cantonese.
Intermediate Level Birding
Meet: Preserve Overflow Parking Lot
Directions: From US-101, exit Bailey Ave. Continue west on Bailey Ave for 3 miles. Turn left onto McKean Rd, continue for 2.5 miles, then turn right onto Casa Loma Rd. The preserve is located at the end of Casa Loma Rd and the overflow lot is 1/4 mile up the road from the main parking lot - please do not park in the gravel equestrian lot.
