Calero Creek Trail
Located in the Almaden Valley area of San Jose, this pretty out-and-back trail passes through chaparral, riparian and grassland habitats. We’ll look for Rufous-crowned Sparrows, Lincoln Sparrows, Savannah Sparrows, Wrentits, California Thrashers, Yellow-rumped Warblers and Ruby-crowned Kinglets.

Directions: From CA-85 in San Jose, exit Almaden Expy south. Drive south for about 5 miles, turn right onto Harry Rd, take the next left onto McKean Rd and go 1.3 miles.
