This flat trail runs alongside the base of the Santa Teresa foothills passing through grassland, chaparral, riparian habitats, and an old orchard. We’ll look for Rufous-crowned Sparrows, Wrentits, fall sparrows, woodpeckers, raptors, and potential Red-breasted Sapsucker. 4 miles out and back, dirt trails.

Directions: From CA-85, exit Almaden Expy south. Drive south for about 5 miles then turn right onto Harry Rd, take the next left onto McKean Rd and go 1.3 miles. Turn left onto Fortini Rd and go 0.6 miles, then turn left onto San Vicente Ave. Parking is on right.
Facilities: no, nearest facilities at Calero County Park, Rancho San Vicente entrance
