Field Trip: First Day of Fall: Beginner’s Bird and Plant Identification Walk Series at Lake Cunningham Park (San Jose)
This is a joint special program with California Native Plant Society CNPS
Do you love being outdoors? Do you want to deepen your appreciation of nature by learning the names of birds and plants around you? With the onset of Fall, join us on our First Day of Fall beginner’s bird and plant identification walk through Lake Cunningham Park in San Jose. Lake Cunningham is a major destination for waterfowl and migratory birds, and its native garden is home for many resident and migratory birds for its habitat value.
Trip Difficulty: 2 miles round trip, paved trails, lawns (potentially wet), muddy or possibly muddy after rain, little or no elevation gain, some shade
