Hi Swallows! A Mandarin Bilingual Bird Outing at Palo Alto Baylands
Cliff Swallow by Luis Villablanca
"Little swallows, dressed in floral clothes, come here every spring.” Does this familiar children's song evoke fond memories of your childhood? Join us for a Mandarin Bilingual birding field trip at Palo Alto Baylands! Witness the swallows' lively dances, hear their gentle chirps, and admire their diligent nest-building with mud. Embrace the continuous arrival of spring migratory birds alongside the abundance of year-round avian residents. Let's celebrate the earth's renewal together with our feathered friends.
We will also look for the elusive Ridgeway Rails that live below the parking lot. And we will have two experienced wildlife photography mentors on hand to offer tips for photography and the Sony RX10M4 bridge camera—so if you have the Sony or a camera with a telephoto lens, don’t forget to bring it!
