Field Trip: Late Morning High Tide at San Francisquito Creek Trail (Palo Alto)

Join us for a late morning walk on the San Francisquito Creek Trail from Palo Alto Baylands. We'll keep an eye out for wintering ducks, such as Green-winged Teals, Northern Pintails, and American Wigeons. We may also see Song Sparrows, Common Yellowthroats, and if we're lucky, rails, on this walk.

Trip Difficulty: 1 mile, packed-dirt trails, little or no elevation gain, little to no shade

Additional Languages: English will be the primary language of this field trip, but other languages spoken by our trip leaders include Cantonese (weak).

Meet: Parking Lot for Lucy Evans Nature Center

Directions: From US-101 in Palo Alto take Embarcadero Rd east towards the bay. Pass the airport and turn left at the T-intersection. Continue for 0.5 miles passing the duck pond. Just over the bridge, the nature center (2775 Embarcadero Rd) will be on your left and the paved parking area will be on your right. Latitude/Longitude: 37.458949, -122.105212
