In between the Cambrian and Almaden Valley areas of San Jose, the Los Capitancillos percolation ponds and Guadalupe Creek make a great birding location. We’ll scan the ponds for wintering ducks and explore the riparian habitat of the adjacent creek for songbirds. 2 miles, flat gravel road.

Directions: From CA-85, take the Camden exit. Drive south 1.1 miles then turn left onto Singletree Way. In 0.2 miles, park near the PG&E substation. Trailhead will be on the right.
