Hooded Merganser by Diane McCoy

Los Gatos Creek County Park and Oka Ponds

Come visit the large percolation ponds (Oka Ponds) that straddle Los Gatos and Campbell and provide year-round waterfowl habitat. We'll check out the ponds and Los Gatos Creek looking for wading birds, wintering ducks and gulls, and search for Ruby-crowned Kinglets and Cedar Waxwings in the berried hedgerows. If we're lucky, we may find Wilson's Snipe and Hooded Merganser..
