Los Gatos Creek County Park and Oka Ponds (Los Gatos/Campbell)

The park boasts six percolation ponds ready for exploration. Together, we will likely encounter a variety of wintering ducks, plus possible views of Green Heron, Sora, and Wilson’s Snipe. We’ll meet at the southern end of the park on Oka Road and wing our way north through the ponds.

Trip Difficulty: 2.5 miles, paved, gravel, and packed-dirt trails, some shade

Meet: Park entrance at the end of Oka Ln

Directions: From CA-17 in Los Gatos, exit Lark Ave. Travel west then take the first right turn after the freeway onto Oka Rd. At the end of Oka Rd turn left onto W Mozart Ave then take the first right turn onto Oka Ln. Meet at the park entrance at the end of the road. Latitude/Longitude: 37.259952, -121.955597

Facilities: There is no bathroom at the meeting place. There is a bathroom and some porta-potties at the main entrance of the park about 1 mile from the meeting place. The bathroom is currently closed but the porta-potties are open.
