Members Only at Máyyan ‘Ooyákma-Coyote Ridge (Morgan Hill)

Coyote Ridge is located in the Diablo Range foothills in southern Santa Clara County and offers spectacular wildflower displays paired with stunning views over Coyote Valley. The unique serpentine grassland, and its natural and cultural history will be discussed. Although there are not many bird species on Coyote Ridge, the ones that are include Lark Sparrow, Grasshopper Sparrow, Rufous-crowned Sparrow, Horned Lark, Rock Wrens and Golden Eagles.

Trip Difficulty: 3-5 miles; packed-dirt trails, uneven or rutted trails, hilly (elevation gain over 300 ft), steep in some sections, little to no shade

Directions: From US-101, exit Bailey Ave and head east towards the foothills. Bailey Ave turns into Malech Rd. Continue on Malech Rd for 0.3 miles. The park will be on your right. Latitude/Longitude: 37.213318, -121.720935

Facilities: ADA accessible pit toilet, cell phone service
