Field Trip: Members Only - First Day of Fall Beginner’s Bird and Plant Identification Walk Series at Lake Cunningham Park (San Jose)
Do you love being outdoors? Do you want to deepen your appreciation of nature by learning the names of birds and plants around you? With the onset of Fall, join us on our First Day of Fall beginner’s bird and plant identification walk through Lake Cunningham Park in San Jose. Lake Cunningham is a major destination for waterfowl and migratory birds, and its native garden is home for many resident and migratory birds for its habitat value.
Trip Difficulty: 2 miles round trip, paved trails, lawns (potentially wet), muddy or possibly muddy after rain, little or no elevation gain, some shade

Meet: Meet in the Marina parking lot on the western shore of the lake. 37.33434 -121.81019
Directions: Meet at the Marina parking lot at 9am. The Marina is on the western shore of the lake, next to Calibunga Water Park, at the opposite side of the park from the main entrance on White Road. In Google Maps, search for Latitude/Longitude: 37.33434 -121.81019 to be directed to the Marina parking lot.
