Field Trip: Members Only North Coyote Valley Conservation Area (San Jose)
The North Coyote Valley Conservation Area is a unique oak savanna and riparian landscape, managed by the Santa Clara Valley Open Space Authority and not normally open to the public. We’ll look for Yellow-billed Magpie, Loggerhead Shrike, Lark Sparrow, Northern Harrier, White-tailed Kite and American Kestrel. And there are often surprises along Fisher Creek, including Wilson’s Snipe, Great Blue Heron, and more.

Meet: Green gate about 25 feet offset from Santa Teresa Blvd.
Directions: From US-101 South and CA-85 South, take the Bernal Exit, turning left onto Santa Teresa. Proceed to the second green gate on the right hand side of the road after passing the housing subdivision, it is just before the start of the planted median strip.
