Northern Shoveler by Raminder Bajwa
Photo Walk: Palo Alto Baylands
We are very fortunate to live along the Pacific Flyway, a major migration corridor, and the fall/winter migrants are here. At this time of year we can expect to see a variety of waterfowl and shorebirds as we explore the marshes and sloughs along the Bay. We will also be on the lookout for raptors. Come prepared to enjoy a crisp fall morning of birding and practice taking pictures of our avian subjects, whether stationary or in flight. We will explore capturing them in their natural habitat during the morning, which provides suitable light for photography. The days start cool and then warm up, so dress in layers.
All levels of birders and photographers are welcome.
