Field Trip: Rancho Cañada del Oro OSP (Morgan Hill)

The varied habitats of Rancho Cañada del Oro, from chaparral to oak woodland to riparian forest grassland, are home to a variety of wintering birds. We'll explore the Longwall and Mayfair trails.

Trip Difficulty: 4 miles, packed-dirt trails, hilly (elevation gain over 300 ft), steep in some sections, some shade

Meet: Rancho Cañada del Oro OSP parking lot

Directions: From US-101, exit Bailey Ave. Continue west on Bailey Ave for 3 miles. Turn left onto McKean Rd, continue for 2.5 miles, then turn right onto Casa Loma Rd. The preserve is located at the end of Casa Loma Rd. Latitude/Longitude: 37.1477861, -121.7745738
