Rancho San Antonio Hill Trail

Lazuli Buntings by Brooke Miller

The Hill Trail (plus portions of the Permanente Creek and PG&E Trails) traverses a mix of grassy hillsides and forested areas. We expect to see Anna’s Hummingbirds, Goldfinches, Swallows, Western Bluebirds, Wrentits, and raptors. We may also see Lazuli Buntings that sometimes reside near the water tank at the top of the hill, depending on the winter vegetation growth.

Trip Difficulty: 2 miles, some paved, some single track dirt, 300 ft elevation gain

Other Trip Notes: Please wear layers and consider rain gear, given the year we're having!
