Sanborn County Park - Main entrance
This wooded park of redwoods and tanbark oaks is located in the Santa Cruz Mountains between Saratoga and Skyline Boulevard. We’ll search the treed, grassy area for Steller's Jay, Dark-eyed Junco, Northern Flicker and hopefully Pine Siskin. Next, we’ll check the redwood forest and canyons for Pacific Wren, Brown Creeper and with luck, the Pileated Woodpecker. Lastly, we’ll visit a disturbed field surrounded by oak and willow trees where Wilson's Warbler, Western Tanager, Spotted Towhee, and California Towhee have been seen in the past. Fingers crossed and we may hear or see an early Cassin's Vireo.
