American Kestrel by John Scharpen
Field Trip: Santa Teresa County Park (San Jose)

We’ll explore the area looking for American Kestrels, White-tailed Kites, Ash-throated Flycatchers, Rufous-crowned Sparrows, Lazuli Buntings and Lark Sparrows. We’ll also talk about the park’s successful nest box program to learn how our local cavity-nesting birds are supported and which species call these boxes home.
