Spring at Rancho Cañada del Oro
Rancho Cañada del Oro is a beautiful park full of meadows and oak woodlands which attracts many spring migrants - warblers, vireos, goldfinches, and more. We'll walk the flat trails near the entrance looking for new arrivals and appreciating the birdsong. Note that this trip will meet in the overflow parking lot, not the main parking lot.

Meet: overflow parking lot
Directions: From US-101, exit Bailey Ave. Continue west on Bailey Ave for 3 miles. Turn left onto McKean Rd, continue for 2.5 miles, then turn right onto Casa Loma Rd. The preserve is located at the end of Casa Loma Rd. Drive past the first (paved) parking lot and continue to the overflow (dirt) parking lot. Latitude/Longitude: 37.144884, -121.778886
Parking Type and Fees: Free, dirt lot, ADA compliant spots available in main lot
Facilities: wheelchair-accessible pit toilet, no drinking water, cell coverage may be intermittent or non-existent
