Pygmy Nuthatch by Sushanta Bhandarkar
Springtime at Cuesta Park (Mountain View)
On this easy route through Mountain View's Cuesta Park, we will identify some of the birds that are often seen in our city parks and neighborhoods, including songbirds, hawks, woodpeckers, and hummingbirds. We will keep our eyes open for parental behavior and newly-fledged young birds of the several species that nest here, including Pygmy Nuthatches, Western Bluebirds, American Robins, Lesser Goldfinches, and Black Phoebes. This outing is geared towards beginning birders, but all are welcome.
Optional: pack your own lunch/snack and we'll picnic together afterwards.
