Yellow Warbler by Sarah Chan

Vasona Lake County Park

Join us for a leisurely trip around riparian woodlands, a small lake, eucalyptus groves, and large manicured lawns in this urban Los Gatos park. We’ll keep a special lookout for migrating Yellow Warblers, returning winter residents like Cedar Waxwings, and lingering summer residents such as Western Tanagers and Orioles.

Trip Difficulty: 1.5 miles, paved flat trails

Meet: main entrance, first parking lot on left after entry kiosk

Directions: From CA-85 in Los Gatos, exit Winchester Blvd. Continue south for about 1.5 miles (Winchester Blvd becomes North Santa Cruz Ave) then turn left onto Blossom Hill Rd. The park entrance will be on your left in less than 0.5 miles. Latitude/Longitude: 37.235556, -121.973150

Facilities: ADA bathrooms and drinking fountains at trip start and along route

Parking Type and Fees: Paved parking lot with several ADA spots. Daily entrance fee is $6 (credit card only). The parking fee is waived with a disabled person placard or plate.
