Golden-crowned Sparrow: Tom Grey
Habitat Workday: Plants & Birds of McClellan Ranch
Volunteer outside with Grassroots Ecology and the Santa Clara Valley Bird Alliance as we start the new year! We will spend our time together caring for our restoration areas by pruning native plants and weeding invasive species, before embarking on a guided birding walk (~0.5 mile on flat unpaved and paved trails). Volunteers should expect to walk on and off trail on uneven ground, kneel or sit on kneeling pads, and use small hand tools, all while learning about the biodiversity of our region.
Visit Grassroots Ecology’s McClellan Ranch Preserve page to learn more about the ecosystem and accessibility considerations.
