Let's Go Birding Together at Sunnyvale WPCP
Let’s take a stroll along weedy-edged, tule-lined canals, evaporation ponds, and salt ponds to look for egrets, herons, grebes, ducks, and terns!
We encourage you to carpool, bike, or take transit! Bring your binoculars. Loaner binoculars will be available! Due to Covid and in consideration of others, please wear a face mask.
Everyone welcome! LGBTQ+ community, their allies, friends and family. Children are welcome as long as they bring a responsible adult.

Trip Difficulty: We'll plan the route based on the conditions, the birds, and the physical capability of the attendees. (Some routes offer flat walking; some are wheelchair-compatible; other routes feature stairs or uphill climbing.)
Meet: On Caribbean Drive by the trailhead at 37.417672, -122.019018
Directions: From CA-237 in Sunnyvale, exit Lawrence Expy/Caribbean Dr. Continue onto Caribbean Dr. In 1.2 miles park along W Caribbean Dr (just past Borregas Ave).
Parking: Street parking, ADA compliant spots available, no fees.
Public Transportation: The Borregas Light Rail Station and the bus stop at the intersection of Java Drive and Borregas Avenue are each 0.6 mile from the trailhead on West Caribbean Drive next to the parking area.
Facilities: Porta-potty (usually unpleasant, so plan ahead!!!). No water source. No seating.
