Mandarin Bilingual Birding Trip: Winter Birdwatching at Coyote Hills
Join us for a Mandarin-English bilingual birding field trip at Coyote Hills Regional Park. Known as one of the best birding spots in Bay Area, Coyote Hills Regional Park was dedicated in 1967. The park comprises 1,266 acres of marshland and rolling grassland-covered hills. This busy park is located along the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay, northwest of the cities of Fremont and Newark. Explore the beauty of nature and witness the spectacles of birds: raptors, ducks, shorebirds, egrets and gulls along the Bayview Trail. (Even a glimpse of the Chilean Flamingo named Fernando!) This trip is exclusively tailored for Mandarin speakers, extending the joy of birdwatching to our vibrant multicultural community.
Binoculars: Bring your binoculars, and if you have a scope, bring it along. If you require binoculars, kindly select the "binoculars loaner" option during registration on Eventbrite. Your preparedness ensures a more enjoyable birding experience for everyone.
Trip Difficulty: 3 miles, paved trails and gravel trails, muddy or possibly muddy after rain, some hills (less than 300 ft elevation gain), little to no shade
Other Trip Notes: The trip may be canceled due to special weather considerations, such as rain or fog. In such cases, the lead will send an email in advance to notify about the cancellation. Please be attentive to your email before you embark on the trip.
