Mandarin Bilingual Birding Walk: Autumn Birds at Del Valle (Livermore)
California Quail by Sarah Chan
Join us for a Mandarin bilingual birding adventure at beautiful Del Valle Regional Park in Livermore!
As autumn transitions into winter, Del Valle's scenic reservoir, oak woodlands, and grasslands provide rich habitats for year-round resident birds and seasonal visitors. We'll explore the park's diverse birdlife, looking for waterfowl, songbirds, and birds of prey.
During our recent scouting trip, we spotted Hermit Thrushes, California Quail, and Yellow-rumped Warblers. We may also have a chance to see a majestic Bald Eagle soaring above the reservoir!
Whether you're new to birding or an experienced enthusiast, this relaxed, beginner-friendly walk offers a wonderful opportunity to discover local birds, learn about seasonal migration, and connect with nature and fellow bird lovers.
Our volunteer leaders will provide bird identification tips and share insights in both Mandarin and English. Come enjoy the beauty of late autumn and discover the joy of birding together!
