Members Only Field Trip: The Arrow Points To Arrowhead Marsh (Oakland)
Arrowhead Marsh is a part of East Bay Regional Parks District. This park is home to a wide variety of birds. We will be looking and listening for Ridgway Rails, shorebirds, ducks, geese, some songbirds; possibly Common Loon, Surfbird and Ruddy Turnstone. If we are lucky, a Clay-colored Sparrow might be found too. Low tide is at 4:30 AM and high tide is about 12 PM.
Trip Difficulty: 2 miles, paved trails, gravel trails, muddy or possibly muddy after rain, little or no elevation gain, little to no shade
Other Trip Notes: Weather is usually cool in the morning and could be mild in the later morning.

Meet: parking lot closest to the observation deck
Directions: Get on I-880 northbound. Follow I-880 N to Davis St in San Leandro. Take exit 34 (Davis St.) from I-880. Make a left on Davis St. westbound. Turn right onto Doolittle Dr.Take CA-61 N/Doolittle Dr. Make a right onto Swan Way and your entrance will be on the left. Look for the redwood colored Sign for Arrowhead Marsh.
