North Coyote Valley Conservation Area - Bird Survey
Join Carolyn Knight for a bird survey in the North Coyote Valley Conservation Area, as part of the Oak Savanna Community Science Project. We will be walking through the trails winding through the varied environment of this site, following creek beds, old walnut orchards, and into the oak savanna habitat that makes the Coyote Valley such an exciting ecosystem. You can look forward to seeing signature species of Santa Clara's mid-county area including Yellow-billed Magpie, Tri-colored Blackbird, Ferruginous Hawk and a variety of surprises to be found in the seasonal wetlands area and Fisher Creek, while helping SCVAS collect data for the OSCSP.
This event has been made possible with the support of the Open Space Authority.
