Photowalk: Metcalf Park, Coyote Creek Trail (San Jose)

Bring your cameras and let's have fun birding while practicing and talking about photography together. The longer the lens the better, but any photographers and cameras are welcome from beginner to expert.

Metcalf Park will be our starting point to access Coyote Creek Trail. This is alongside a wide spot in the creek that is great habitat for wintering ducks, wading birds and geese. We'll also keep an eye out for raptors.

Trip Difficulty: 1.5 miles, paved trails, gravel trails, packed-dirt trails, little or no elevation gain, some shade

Meet: Metcalf Park by bathrooms

Directions: From US-101 South or Hwy 85 South, exit south onto Bernal Rd. Immediately turn right onto the Monterey Hwy ramp then turn left onto Monterey Rd. Continue south on Monterey Hwy for 0.6 miles, turn left onto Menard Dr, then turn right onto Forsum Rd. Metcalf Park will be on your left in 0.1 miles.
