Learn bird origami with young birder and origami artist Valerie Wong! This 90-minute class will include instruction on some basic folds and origami techniques and teach multiple bird models. Origami paper will be provided. This free workshop will be held in-person at the Cupertino Library Think Tank Room. It is good for young birders but open to everyone of all skill levels.
Valerie Wong is a high school birder with a passion for the environment and origami. A lifelong lover of the natural world, Valerie discovered birding during the pandemic and is now an avid volunteer and wildlife photographer. With the San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory, she monitors local bird populations, restores threatened shorebird habitat, and fundraises for bird conservation and education programs through leading origami workshops and creating a conservation collection. Valerie is excited to use her passions to support bird and wildlife conservation.
