American Robin: Mary Ann Robertson
Located in Almaden Valley, adjacent to Almaden Lake, and hidden behind the Santa Clara Valley Water District (SCVWD) headquarters are two percolation ponds, drought tolerant gardens, and the the Guadalupe River. We’ll scan the ponds and the river in search of Egrets, Herons, Swifts, Yellow Warblers, Kingfishers, Scaly-breasted Munia and more.
This trip is designed for young birders, but parents and siblings are welcome to attend. We welcome birders of all skill levels! Loaner binoculars are available for participants.
Trip Difficulty: 1.5 miles, paved and gravel trails, little or no elevation gain, little to no shade

Meet: 5700 Almaden Expy; park in headquarters visitor parking
Directions: From CA-85, take Almaden Expy south. At Via Monte Dr (first light after crossing Blossom Hill), make a u-turn then make the next right and turn into the headquarters parking lot.
