PUBLIC 24 HOUR TRADITIONAL

Ever wondered what a big day is like and want to experience it firsthand? Do you want to see murre birds than you ever have before? Do you want to have a veery good time?

If you do, you should sora-tainly join the Fledgling team for our spring birdathon!

This year we are taking on an exciting challenge: a 24-hour birdathon!

Well, it won't be really 24-hour - it will be from sunrise until a little after sunset.

You don’t need to keep the entire day free to participate — feel free to join us for just a few hours or at a specific location that interests you.

Join whenever you can; the best part is birding together and enjoy the fun!

Our goal is to see as many species of bird as possible during the day.

We plan to visit several great local birding hotspots, including Ulistac Natural Area, Don Edwards NWR, Mountain View Shoreline Lake, Vasona Lake, Sanborn, and we may even add a bit of owling in the evening!

Come bird with us whenever your schedule allows!

Please sign up in advance so we can coordinate meeting times/locations on the day of the birdathon.

You can choose to register for free under the "Fundraiser" option.

To make things more fun : you can pledge a donate based on the results -

For example, with # of bird species we get * a value of your choice, (whether it's 0.1 or 1 or 10);

or even exciting with # of individual bird counts * a value of your choice ( be it 0.01 or 1 or 100!)

And if you’re a young birder or on a tight budget, please don’t feel any pressure to donate — simply joining and birding with us is already a huge support and part of what makes the day special.

We are rail-ly excited to see you on the trail!
