Drop-in: Fall Birding at the Ranch (Cupertino)

Want to learn more about your local birds? Drop in anytime between 8:30 am and 10:30 am to bird with us! SCVBA volunteers will be stationed at the feeders in front of the nature shop with binoculars and field guides to help you identify birds such as Lesser Goldfinch, Chestnut-backed Chickadee, Oak Titmouse and Nuttall’s Woodpecker. We will also show you how to use Merlin Bird ID (a free bird identification app), eBird and other birding tools and resources.
Trip Difficulty: mostly stationary event, paved trails, gravel trails, packed-dirt trails, little or no elevation gain, some shade
