Explore the Stevens Creek Trail (Mountain View)
Red-shouldered Hawk by Sarah Chan
We'll explore Stevens Creek Trail from Creekside Park southward, checking the Dana Street entrance and Landels Field as we make our way towards El Camino Real. Walk this unclaimed Christmas Bird Count territory and see how many bird species we can find! (Note this is an "out-and-back" trip, not a loop.)
Trip Difficulty: 1.5 mile, paved trails, gravel trails, packed-dirt trails, lawns (potentially wet), steep in some sections, some steep drop offs next to trails, some shade, shady
Other Trip Notes: Bring your binoculars and wear sturdy shoes. Trail conditions vary along the way, and depending on weather, we may encounter muddy trails or narrow portions of the trail due to slides after a rain. Stay alert for commuters on bicycles.
