Field Trip: Beginner Birding at Sunnyvale Baylands (Sunnyvale)
Sunnyvale Baylands is the perfect spot to get acquainted with wintering birds, from backyard favorites like Dark-eyed Junco and American Robin to rarer specialties like Merlin and Wilson's Snipe. This beginner-focused trip will take a loop around the park, including spending some time at the seasonal wetlands as well as the beautiful eucalyptus trees throughout the park.
Trip Difficulty: 2 miles, paved trails, gravel trails, lawns (potentially wet), little or no elevation gain, little to no shade

Meet: Baylands Grove Amphitheater
Directions: From CA-237 in Sunnyvale, exit Lawrence Expy/Caribbean Dr. Continue north onto Caribbean Dr. The park will be on your right in less than 0.5 miles.
