Workshop: Nest Box Monitoring Training
Learn how to safely and responsibly monitor nest boxes! Join Carolyn Knight for an introduction to the how's, why's, and who's of nest box monitoring in Santa Clara County. You'll learn about the different styles of nest boxes used in our area, common threats to nests, the native birds that make use of the boxes we install, and get you connected to boxes that need monitors.
Virtual attendees will join us for an hour-long presentation over zoom, but in-person attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the nest box trail of McClellan Ranch. A recording of the presentation aspect of this training workshop will be made available to participants.
