Anna's Hummingbird by Jeremy Frank
Field Trip: Birding with Pride at Ulistac (Santa Clara)
Birds have survived all over the Earth from the antarctic to the desert. These resilient creatures vary widely by displaying bright plumage or by hiding with subtle camouflage, by singing loudly or by calling quietly. This undeveloped sanctuary in the heart of metropolitan Santa Clara Valley has 40 acres of oak woodlands, seasonal wetlands, and riparian habitat along the Guadalupe River. To commemorate and celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride, join us for a leisurely bird walk in an urban habitat to admire the diversity and resilience of nature. Anyone with appreciation for birds, wildlife, and the rich diversity of the natural world is welcome to join, especially beginners.
