Field Trip: Debell Uvas Creek Preserve (Gilroy)
Let’s walk along Uvas Creek in Gilroy! We should have a good variety of birds including wading birds, raptors, woodpeckers, swallows, sparrows and spring specialties like Black-headed Grosbeaks, Western Tanagers, Orioles, Warbling Vireos, and Western Flycatchers.
Trip Difficulty: 3 miles, packed-dirt trails, muddy or possibly muddy after rain, uneven or rutted trails, little or no elevation gain, some shade, poison oak alongside trail (wear long pants)
Other Trip Notes: Bring a hat and water. Loaner binoculars are available, please reserve them by emailing fieldtrips@scvbirdalliance.org

Meet: Christmas Hill Park Ranch Site Addition parking lot (near the Red Barn)
Directions: From US-101 in Gilroy, exit E Tenth St west. Travel west for approximately 1 mile. Tenth St turns slightly right and becomes Uvas Pkwy. Continue on Uvas Pkwy for another 0.4 miles. Turn left onto Miller Ave, cross Uvas Creek, pass Christmas Hill Park, then make the first right into the Christmas Hill Park Ranch Site Addition parking lot. You will not see the sign.
