Field Trip: Phylo-birding Lake Cunningham (San Jose)
Lake Cunningham provides a wide range of habitats to numerous species of birds. We'll use those species and habitats to focus on ways in which phylogenetic and biogeographic knowledge can enrich your birding experience. There will be handouts.
Trip Difficulty: 2-3 miles, paved trails, little or no elevation gain, little to no shade
Other Trip Notes: It would be useful to first attend the Zoom talk on phylo-birding. Feel free to attend even if you don't come to the field trip.
