Field Trip: Ed Levin Spring Valley (Milpitas)
Join us for a walk in Ed Levin County Park as we look for any early fall migrants as well the late summer birds. The Spring Valley pond is great to look for egrets, Great Blue Heron, Double-crested Cormorant and Pied-billed Grebe. We'll then make our way through the Spring Valley trail and look for birds among the grassy hills and then the oak woodlands. We'll be looking for swallows, raptors, various woodpeckers, and returning sparrows, kinglets and warblers. We will end by hiking up up the riparian habitat of the Nature Trail
