Steller's Jay by Janna Pauser
Field Trip: Young Birders Club: Stevens Creek County Park (Cupertino)
This Cupertino park is located in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. We’ll check out creekside and woodland picnic areas looking for woodpeckers, Steller’s Jays, Brown Creepers, Hermit Thrush and Townsend’s Warblers. In the chaparral we will look for California Thrasher and Wrentit.
This trip is designed for young birders, but parents and siblings are welcome to attend. We welcome birders of all skill levels—whether you’ve been birding for years, or never picked up a pair of binoculars before, we’d love to bird with you! Young birders can socialize and have fun birding together. Loaner binoculars are available for participants.
