Late Spring Birding at Guadalupe Oaks (San Jose)
Late spring activity is underway in this residential Almaden Valley park where wide flat trails meander through groves of oaks. We will look for Yellow-rumped Warblers in breeding plumage, paired-up and nesting Western Bluebirds, violet green and tree swallows, and other oak woodland birds such as Acorn Woodpeckers, Chestnut-backed Chickadees, and Oak Titmice.
Trip Difficulty: 2 miles; paved trails, gravel trails, packed-dirt trails, some hills (less than 300 ft elevation gain), some shade
