Summer Bird Count Practice

Join field trip leader Ann Hepenstal to practice for the June 7th Summer Bird Count. We'll review the protocol for counting birds. Then we'll practice counting birds and noting breeding behaviors, tracking and reporting our data, and completing SBC forms. And--we'll have fun spotting birds! Note: attendees are expected to join a Summer Bird Count team. If you're not already signed up, please email paloaltocbc@gmail.com to volunteer.
Trip Difficulty: 1mile, paved trails, gravel trails, packed-dirt trails, lawns (potentially wet), uneven or rutted trails, little or no elevation gain, some shade, poison oak alongside trail (wear long pants)
Other Trip Notes: Trip attendees should participate in the Summer Bird Count.
