Field Trip: Mandarin Bilingual Field Trip: Crab Cove (Alameda)

Join us for a delightful fall morning at Crab Cove, Alameda, where the tidal flats come alive with flocks of migrating shorebirds. Our bilingual leaders will guide you in spotting and identifying species such as Marbled Godwits, Long-billed Curlews, Black-bellied Plovers, and elegant egrets. Learn about their behaviors, migration journeys, and the unique ecology of the San Francisco Bay.

Directions: From Interstate 880 coming from the south, take the exit either at Davis St West, or 98th Ave West, either choice to turn right at Dolittle Dr towards North to the city of Alameda, proceed to Latitude/Longitude: 37.76922° N, 122.27763° W and arrive at Crab Cove address: 1200 McKay Ave, Alameda, CA 94501

Facilities: porta-potty, cell phone service

Parking Type and Fees: paved parking lot, $5 parking fees, uses East Bay Regional Park District annual pass
