Penitencia Creek Trail Spring Stroll (San Jose)
Come help find lingering winter ducks and welcome some new spring warblers and other visitors. Western Flycatcher, Hooded Oriole, Western Tanager, Warbling Vireo and Black-headed Grosbeaks are possible.
Trip Difficulty: 1.5-2 miles, gravel trails, packed-dirt trails, uneven or rutted trails, some hills (less than 300 ft elevation gain), steep in some sections, trail barrier that you must step over, some shade

Meet: Noble Ave trail entrance near Grossmont Dr
Directions: From I-680 in San Jose, take the Berryessa Rd exit east. Continue on Berryessa Rd for 1.3 mi, turn right onto Piedmont Rd, continue for 0.3 mi, turn left onto Noble Ave. The destination will be on the right in 0.3 mi. Latitude/Longitude: 37.394063, -121.838192
Facilities: No bathrooms. Nearest bathrooms can be found at the Penitencia Creek Park Playground next to the Berryessa Community Center (opens at 8 am) and at the Berryessa Library (opens at 10 am)
Parking Type and Fees: Park perpendicular to the fence on the dirt next to Noble Avenue or on the street. Please save inner lot for the Veterans Support Service Agency office. No fees.
